BLOCKBOARD
Blockboard is made up of softwood strips glued together into panel and sandwiched with softwood, hardwood veneers or thin MDF.
The internal strips are generally made of lightweight wood such as: Poplar, Pine or Falcata wood.
Blockboard is used to make doors, tables, shelves, panelling and partition walls.
Blockboard (also called Lumber Core) has very good screw holding and can be considered as solid wood; it has a good resistance to warping.
